Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Chairman of China ACG Group

Mr. Li Yang is a graduate of the Beijing Broadcasting Institute, and is considered a leading director, actor and producer. He began his career at CCTV in 1982.  Since that time, he has hosted many leading CCTV produced programs; ace programs including “Cultural Life”, “Our Homeland”, “Our Country”, “Coastal Pearl”, “Services for You” to name just a few. He has participated in the production of nearly 100 feature programs, of which “Coastal Pearl”, “Interesting Talk about National Day”, “Premier Zhou and Literature & Art of China Communist Party”, and “Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow of Hong Kong” have won leading prizes and special awards in nationwide feature program competitions.

Beginning in 1982, Mr. Li became involved in the voice-over dubbing of hundreds of foreign motion pictures and TV programs, where his work on  the Hitler in the Soviet-Union film “the Fight for Moscow”, Monkey King in China television production “Pilgrimage to the West”, and Donald Duck and Disney “Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck” were widely familiar to Chinese audience. Mr. Li has hosted many important “prime-time” evening specials for CCTV, including programs that celebrate the Chinese Spring Festival, New Year’s Day, China'sNational Day, the Lantern Festival and more.  His film dubbing work, and  dramatic readings of speeches by Chinese and world leaders earned wide critical acclaim. 1992, Mr. Li established the “Li Yang Group Co., Ltd.” in Hong Kong, where he was engaged in economic and cultural communication between Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau. He introduce “CCTV News” to Hong Kong, under the title of “News of the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong and Macau” and broadcast it in on the international channel of the Hong Kong, Asia TV Station.  He reorganized CCTV's “Economic 30 Minutes” program and broadcast it weekly on Hong Kong Satellite TV.   He was the host of “China Finance & Economy Feature” that was broadcast on CCTV and Hong Kong Asia TV twice every week.  In 1995, gathering his own financing, he produced 58 episodes of an informational program title “Story of Hong Kong,”  which was broadcasted in prime time on CCTVt channel 1 and the international channel of CCTV twice every week respectively. His work played a positive role in objectively reporting news stories from China that increasing Hong Kong's understating and identification with mainland China and helped in the smooth transition before the return of Hong Kong.  Mr. Li worked as the Head of the Film & TV Center, of the Committee of Political and Legislative Affairs, CCCPC from 2004 to 2010. He was then entrusted with the important post as Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Board Chairman of China ACG Group Co., Ltd. in July 2010, to direct its mission to fulfill China's national animation game promotion and planning program. He launched two Spring Festival animation events, and has directed the development of  animation industrial parks across China.

His work in building bridges between Mainland China and Hong Kong  has made him a very popular figure to Mainland Chinese and Hong Kong television audiences. He has been elected as member of the CPPCC National Committee for five successive times, he is the Deputy Chairman of the All China Youth Federation, the Deputy Chairman of China Youth Entrepreneurs Association, the Director of the United World Chinese Association, Permanent Member of the Friends of Hong Kong Association, the Director of the Hong Kong and Fujian Hope Project Foundation, the Director of the China Overseas Friendship Association, and the Honorary President of the Hong Kong, Quanzhou People's Association. In light of his strong contributions to the return of Hong Kong, he took part in all ceremonies, discussions and events as the Deputy Chairman of the Hong Kong Return Celebration Presidium, and received the certificate and title of Top 10 Hong Kong Honorary Young Ambassadors, jointly issued by Tung Chee-hwa, Chief Executive, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Zhou Nan, President of Xinhua News Agency, Hong Kong Branch. Mr. Li is always happy to help others and keen on programs that promote the public good. He has won universal praise among his peers and enjoys a very good reputation among television audiences in Hong Kong and across China.
