Mr. Zhang Jie graduated from the News College, of the Beijing Broadcasting Institute where he studied Journalism and Law. Currently, he serves as; a member of CPC Committee, and as the Assistant CEO, the Deputy Editor-in-Chief and the Head of the Industrial Development Department of the Central Studio of News Reel Production, and the Deputy Chairman, as well as the concurrent Secretary-General of China Radio and TV Association Documentary Working Association.
He has successfully worked as a university instructor, a documentary film director and television station manager. He has served as the Deputy Head of the Foreign Cooperation Department, and the Head of the Business Development Department of the Central Studio of News Reel Production. He has served as a member of the Standing Committee, and as a Vice-Director of Jianshui County, Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan Province, Deputy Director General (minister level) of the Program Management Section of the Media Institution Administration Department of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT). He serves as the Head of the Industrial Development Department of the Central Studio of News Reel Production.
His productions have won numerous awards, and include more than 150 individual documentary programs, they include: “A Macao Narrative”, “Story of Century Xiangjiang River”, “Century Glory”, “Royalstar Cup” TV Program Host Competition, “The Communist Party”, “City Sister Inspectors”, 365 episodes of “Image Log of the People’s Republic of China” and “World Heritage in China.” His main academic works are “On Narrative Characteristics of Documentaries” , “TV Evening Party in Contemporary Culture”, “Broadcasting & TV Culture Originality and Cultural Industry Development”, “On Optimization of Online Video Program Supervision”, “National Policies Related to China Animation Industrial Development.”
