Entry Conditions 2011

In order to be selected in the short film, documentary or animation sections, your film must be from one minute to 40 minutes in length.  In order to be selected in the feature film, documentary or animation sections, your film must be more than 40 minutes length.

A prize will be awarded to the best entry in each of the  Competition Categories   The juries, at their own discretion, may also award additional special awards.

For the Animation Category, any frame by frame or computer-assisted animated film or video made for cinema, television or internet may be entered.

Each entry will be considered for official competition and out-of-competition screenings. The Artistic Director and Jury Committee will select the films in competition and for screenings. Works will be judged within their category for conceptual, technical and aesthetic innovation and excellence.

The Artistic Director and the Jury Committee reserves the right to switch a film's category if they feel the film is more suited for another category.

An entry fee of  300 RMB / $45.00 USD is required of all submissions sent to the Festival. The fee is waived only for films invited to participate at the request of the Festival.

The producers and directors of award-winning films at the Macao, China International Digital Cinema Festival are encouraged to mention the prize obtained, the year and the name of the Macao, China International Digital Cinema Festival in the credits of their film and on all related documentation.

All film submissions should be submitted in DVD form, if you have special circumstances, please contact us.

Documentary and Animation submissions only, must have been completed in the 12 months prior to the Festival.

Language, the Festival will accept film submissions;
- WITHOUT subtitles IF the original language is Chinese or English.
- WITH Chinese or English subtitles for all other original languages.

All films to be submitted for the Official Selection must be entered by September 30, 2011.

Films may not be withdrawn from the Festival once they have been entered.

Films that are racist, obscene, excessively violent and propagandistic are not eligible.
